How PolyJet Works
Print heads jet thousands of photopolymer droplets onto the build platform and cure them instantly with UV light, layer by layer — much like an inkjet printer working in 3D. Because multiple print heads can jet different resins simultaneously, a single part can combine rigid and rubber-like materials, clear and opaque sections, and a full range of colors.

Yes — rigid, flexible, clear, and colored resins can be combined in a single part, which is how we print overmolded prototypes without assembly.
How does PolyJet compare to SLA?
Both produce smooth, detailed parts. SLA is more economical for single-material prints; PolyJet adds multi-material, multi-color, and rubber-like options at a premium.
Are PolyJet parts functional?
They’re best for models, prototypes, and patterns. Photopolymers degrade with prolonged UV exposure and aren’t as tough as nylon — for end-use parts we’ll usually steer you to MJF or SLS.
What files do you need for color printing?
A color-capable format (OBJ with textures, 3MF, or VRML) — or send your STL and our design team will apply colors and materials for you.
